Population Education, Training and Employment Lead - Band 8a

37.5 Hours Per Week

Fixed Term - 7 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the NEE COO team for a period of 7 months supporting the delivery of the Clacton place agenda.

Tendring is a destination of interest for the DWP government departmental relocation as part of the Governments Levelling up agenda. Work is underway within the NEE Health and Wellbeing Alliance to prepare the local area and population to maximise this incredible opportunity, promoting job opportunities as well as wider investment within the area. The CCG as an anchor organisation in the locality is a key lead partner in this work.

Health & Wellbeing for the workforce across North East Essex is critical and this post will lead the development in this area ensuring the population entering the workplace has the best possible environment within which to work. Partnership working is key for delivery and the post holder will find solutions and build pathways to bring work at ground level and partners together to achieve an ambition greater than the parts.

The project links into Breaking Barriers programme of work – led by Lord Patel, Ed Garrett and Pam Green

Population Education, Training & Employment Lead (Tendring) – 8a

The role involves leading on the development and implementation, with partners, of the strategic framework that will support the evolution of the Education, Training and Employment. Health & Wellbeing across employers is critical to attracting & retaining the local population into employment in the Tendring area.

You will also coordinate the CCGs work on the Community Microenterprise’s project working closely with ECC partners and Alliance colleagues.

You will work closely with the NEE COO for this programme of work and alongside an Band 6 project support officer.

You will take a lead role in Actively working in partnership with Breaking Barriers, HEE, NEE Alliance Committee & Board and all partners of NEE H&W Alliance.

We are able to provide specific support to the postholder during the fixed term appointment.
