What can you expect as an international nurse joining HCA UK?

We understand that moving to another country can be very daunting and time consuming, so here at HCA we will support you at every step, by doing the following:

  • Support with applying for VISA and sponsorship
  • Air fares and accommodation support provided
  • Transfers from airport to accommodation on arrival
  • Somebody to welcome you at the accommodation and provide you with a welcome pack that includes food vouchers, maps and an oyster card.

When you join HCA UK, as you will not be a NMC registered nurse due to you having to undertake the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), you will initially be employed as a Pre-registered nurse with a starting salary of £27,000. During this period, you will work within your ward, whilst also receiving support and training to ensure you are prepared for your OSCE. Once you have passed your OSCE you will then be recognised as a fully registered nurse and you salary will be uplifted to reflect this.

As a fully registered NMC nurse, you will then be entitled to the full support and career development opportunities that HCA UK prides itself on.

What are we looking?

We are looking for nurses from around the global, who are registered within their own country of practice. You will have substantial experience within an ITU setting; although, if you display a drive and willingness to develop your nursing career, we will consider those with minimal experience.

You will also actively participate as a member of a team, working together to achieve tasks, goals, and objectives; demonstrate a lead by example attitude to inspire our colleagues and patients; and deliver information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to effectively engage others and achieve desired results.

If you have trained outside the European Union and your studies to becoming a nurse were not delivered in English, than you will have undertaken and passed your International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Unfortunately due to POEA restrictions, we are unable to progress with Filipino nurses applying directly from the Philippines.
