Much of this success is largely due to the people behind our products – namely our 41,000 employees worldwide. Our manufacturing facility at Barrow-in-Furness is responsible for the production of tissue products, including Andrex and Kleenex. The site is currently benefiting from investment in new equipment and upgrades and this now provides the following opportunities for enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our manufacturing teams.
The role involves operating and sustaining the core converting and manufacturing assets within our Manufacturing Process,
in order to optimise overall production performance.
The Principal Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will require a minimum of GSCE’s Grades A-C or equivalent, including Mathematics and English. Desirable criteria would be a time served electrical/mechanical apprentice to NVQ Level 3 and ideally qualified or working towards HNC. Experience of operating high speed technologically and advanced manufacturing equipment would be needed along with knowledge of manufacturing operations. Individuals would need to be prepared to work shifts and additional hours if required.
Barrow-in-Furness is a town and borough located in Cumbria, North West England. And is just on the door step of the wonderful Lake District with plenty of sites, walks and activities to get involved in.
Working at Barrow Mill:
When joining Kimberly Clark as an MTM you will be part of a shift team that works closely together over the course of the shift pattern. You will have exposure to different aspects of paper making and converting which will show the production of the premium products.
