Join a community of passionate digital marketing professionals and web authors at the University to demonstrate your ambition for great online user experiences through website innovations. The University of Bradford Web Team is seeking an enthusiastic Web Developer capable of developing and testing website features that attract and engage with our many stakeholders.
The website plays a critical role in the University of Bradford's ambitious plans to position itself front-of-mind amongst those wishing to enter higher education. With over 50 years of academic excellence behind us as a university, we continue to be pioneers in developing new course subjects, reflecting and anticipating the needs of employers, our students, and of society as a whole.
Beyond the technical elements of the role, you'll also work with colleagues in the Web Team and IT Services to provide support and advice on technical aspects of website development and technical governance, including responsibility for processes and workflows that ensure a high-quality delivery of service and output. You'll also collaborate and at times project manage with stakeholders both across the University and externally.
With ambitious organisational goals and as a member of our Advertising, Marketing & Student Insights department, an ability to be organised and manage several projects at once is essential, along with strong communication skills. You'll collaborate with other creative teams within the department as well as stakeholders across the university as our team acts as first line support to our website users.
We're proud to have been awarded University of the Year for Social Inclusion 2020 by The Sunday Times and we welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome disabled, minority ethnic groups, LGBT+ and non-binary candidates and are very welcoming to receive applications from underrepresented candidates in the field of web design & development.
Benefits of the role include 25 days holiday and 13 statutory and customary days, flexible working, a university nursery and fitness centre, generous employer contribution pension schemes, a reward scheme for shopping discounts, and a salary sacrifice scheme to assist you in purchasing items like childcare vouchers or a bicycle for commuting.
For enquiries prior to application, please contact Peter Sawyckyj, Web Manager – email@example.com.
Interviews are to be held on 27 October 2021.
