Job Description

The Montefiore Hospital have an exciting opportunity to join our growing bookings team to assist with the full admission process of our patients to ensure a smooth and accurate process is followed.

The Montefiore Hospital is rated “Outstanding� by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging, and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, cardiology, and general surgery all delivered through our expert and caring clinical team. The hospital is well positioned to maximize the excellent local public transport. There are buses that stop in the vicinity and is also within walking distance of both Hove and Brighton train station

Duties and responsibilities

  • Processing Private and NHS patient referrals including booking and checking appointments and picking up any ad hoc queries such as chasing prescriptions and patient outcomes
  • Liaising with and booking appointments for consultants and managing their diaries
  • Managing the diary for the outpatient rooms including cancelling and moving appointments
  • Managing the insurance portal, dealing with bookings
  • Booking of patient appointments for bloods, covid swabs, processing minor operations, and procedures.

Who we're looking for

  • You must have previous and recent experience in an administration post
  • Competent in multi-tasking and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting, dealing with patients and general public is desirable
