The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Talent Acquisition, this is a true value add/ business partnering role. As such, you will be working collaboratively with Hiring Managers, People Partners and other members of the Talent Team, to understand ongoing business requirements, deliver talent pooling and recruitment campaigns in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Airports are dynamic places to work, and no two days offer the same challenge. As such, you will have the chance to partner with a broad range of departments, including professional services and operational functions across our three UK airports. This role offers the opportunity to work on some very different and exciting roles ranging from mid to Director level.

This is a rounded role, working with managers on the best practice interviewing and selection techniques, direct sourcing, agency management and the full offer and feedback process. You will be using MI to support decisions and for reporting as well as supporting in the development of new innovative recruitment channels/ processes/ initiatives etc.

As a recruitment subject matter expert, you will be involved in projects that impact talent, such as (but not limited to) talent management, recruitment marketing, system and process improvements. You will be given the autonomy to support projects that interest you and be given the freedom to deliver major initiatives.

Typical Duties:

  • Build and maintain relationships and effective communication channels with all relevant stakeholders, Hiring Managers, People Partners etc.
  • Advise hiring managers on the most appropriate and cost-effective sourcing methods and selection tools
  • Manage the full offer and feedback process
  • Directly sourcing talent based on market research.
  • Provide data and market insight to stakeholders
  • Manage talent pools
  • Provide an engaging and responsive candidate experience
  • Continue to use MI to improve the recruitment processes
  • Develop knowledge of resourcing strategies and new innovative recruitment channels.
  • Support and contribute to the development of the Employment Brand, and MAG’s Social Media presence.
  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with preferred suppliers


You will be an experience recruiter with previous ‘in house’ experience, and a proven ability in the deliver Talent Acquisition services across a broad range of roles. You will be adept at consulting effectively with your client groups and an ability to build effective relationships, influence and to constructively challenge where required.

You’ll be highly team-orientated, flexible and adaptable in order to support changing priorities, projects and initiatives as needed

Other requirements include

  • Demonstrable excellence in candidate management
  • Experience working to agreed SLA’s
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, digital marketing, and recruiting process workflows
  • Can offer examples of delivering innovative initiatives that have enhanced a talent function
  • Experience using Linked-in Recruiter and other direct sourcing technologies
  • Using an EVP (Employer Value Proposition) to effectively market a business
  • Working knowledge of assessment tools such as psychometric assessments and assessment centres
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Highly organised and capable of juggling tasks and priorities
