The University is looking for an exceptional candidate to join the Computing and Communications Systems Service (CCSS) as part of our Desktop Development Team. You will be based at our London campus in Hendon and will provide technical IT support for operational systems by providing our User Services with 2nd line incident and problem resolution. You will be expected to support the activities of the Desktop Team, in the management and deployment of devices to the University, including tasks like packaging, testing and distribution of software to University staff and student systems using industry recognised software management systems.

The post holder will have excellent communication skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services as well as a good understanding of data communications technologies. Practical experience of using, installing and configuring Microsoft and Apple operating systems is essential, and awareness of ITIL frameworks is desirable

The role will be essential in securing, maintaining and supporting our centrally managed corporate IT estate and its user community. The successful post holder will also work in a flexible fashion supporting CCSS-driven projects across the University Campus.
