About the Role:

Our Vetting Team, based at Manchester Airport, are actively seeking an Administrator to join them on a fixed term contract until March 2022. The main purpose of the Vetting Administrator role is to triage any queries and requests coming into the team, resolving at first point where possible and escalating to relevant colleagues for resolution as appropriate. Other duties include:

  • Provide administrative support to the Volume Recruitment and Vetting team, including screening telephone calls and enquiries and triaging email requests
  • Administer, coordinate, and track the security clearance (e.g., CTC, SC) of existing employees and facilitate the renewal of clearances where appropriate
  • Administer, coordinate, and process documents required for Security Pass renewals to maintain validity of existing employees passes
  • Process pass upgrades and changes for existing Security pass holders
  • Assisting team with ensuring all New Starter information is appropriately uploaded to our data management system.
  • Maintain, update and archive documents and applications onto our online archiving system
  • Updating business trackers, programs, and systems in relation to vetting and referencing progress
  • Providing key stakeholders with relevant business updates as required
  • Liaising with ID centres across our 3 airports
  • Occasionally attend recruitment events, putting candidates at ease whilst providing vetting for them on the day of interview / assessment
  • Identify and escalate any potential issues when clearing employees/ candidates


To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills. The team work in a fast paced and customer facing environment when in the office, so you will need to be proactive and use your initiative to manage a busy and conflicting workload. This role can be quite varied so you will need to be comfortable keeping up to date with new processes and changes to procedures.
