Job Description

Our newly created Junior Graphic Designer role will play an important part in providing a professional in-house design service to the Practice Plan Group and Wesleyan Assurance Society, based in Oswestry. This role would suit someone looking to take their first step into a design environment, passionate about design and looking to develop their creative and design skills within a dynamic team of design and marketing professionals.


The Practice Plan Group of companies operate within the dental sector providing practice-branded dental plans and patient finance for private dentists and is part of the Wesleyan Assurance Group. Intrinsically customer focussed, we support our practices in becoming thriving businesses by providing bespoke advice, guidance, up-to-date news and thought-provoking industry and business content.


  • You will understand marketing and branding and how to apply that knowledge across a variety of channels, on and offline and in line with our business marketing strategy.
  • Provide marketing designs for our dental practice clients working with a wide range of templated and customised design items ensuring all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements, and brand values of each client.
  • Work with other members of the design team to take a project through from brief to print/online ready status.
  • Create, develop, and deliver promotional materials working within tight timescales.
  • Work on collateral for our corporate branding and communication for all brands within the Practice Plan Group, and, the wider Wesleyan group, including brochures, social media images, advertising, websites, and events.


  • Degree in graphic design would be desirable but not essential - we would also consider applicants if their industry experience and portfolio is suitable.
  • Excellent working knowledge of designing on Apple computers.
  • Fully conversant in using the latest graphic software including Adobe CC - InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Excellent typographic awareness and art working skills.
  • Creative flair and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good proof-reading skills.
  • Essential IT skills: Adobe CC
  • Desirable IT skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
  • Good standard of education and excellent administration skills are required.
  • Good standard of English, particularly grammar and spelling.
  • The ability to produce marketing copy would be desirable.
