Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you have an interest in children and young people's emotional wellbeing? Do you have experience of working in children's services?

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to join MyTime Cumbria as a Primary Mental Health Worker to support and strengthen the provision of emotional and mental health support for children and young people building capacity and capability within community services in relation to prevention, early identification and intervention.

This role will be based in South Cumbria. Working days are Monday to Friday with some flexible working hours and travel across the locality as required.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

  • Children's and young people's emotional health and wellbeing
  • Improving outcomes for children and young people

The successful candidate must have a combination of:

  • A diploma level qualification in counselling, child and adolescent psychotherapy, art, play, drama or music therapy which has included a practicum / placement of at least 100 hours of supervised practice
  • A recognised child development qualification
  • Considerable experience of working with children and young people
  • A comprehensive understanding of children's safeguarding

You must demonstrate in your application that you currently use the skills outlined above, and in the Job Description/Person Specifications, or have used them previously in employment, education, training, volunteering etc. This should be done with an understanding of the context of the service described.
