This is a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) position.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experiences.
  • Experience in Human Resources experience including investigations, complaint procedures, case management, or program management.
  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Coaching or counseling experience on sensitive people matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
  • Build trust and rapport across diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills with a particular focus on empathetic listening, conflict resolution, de-escalation, and risk mitigation.

About the job

The Care Specialist team acts as a neutral, single point of contact for guiding and assisting Googlers who are navigating an Employee Relations (ER) process and opt-in for additional care. Care Specialists partner with the Googler to support them in their unique experience, identify relevant resources, and help develop a customized care plan as they navigate ER processes.

The Airmax Early Adopter framework is an Employee Relations model that manages all Workplace Concerns and ER investigations, advising and regional disciplinary processes.   • Provide guidance and assistance to a wide audience on a range of potentially sensitive, confidential, and difficult topics, and apply empathy, discretion, and active listening skills to create an inclusive, psychologically safe, and open setting in order to understand needs and respond accordingly.
  • Serve as a neutral, trusted resource who can understand and appropriately help Googlers identify and address their care and well-being needs, whilst also encouraging agency, and apply appropriate HR processes and Google business processes knowledge.
  • Apply knowledge about HR processes and Google business processes to access resources and facilitate appropriate care and support, and continually assess whether a situation needs the engagement of further assistance.
  • Share insights and analysis with the global team for ongoing cross-training, program improvements and aggregate reporting, and maintain program administration and confidential records regarding utilization and efficacy.
