Location: North Tyneside Salary: £18,176 - £30,294 Per Annum (Pro rata) Plus Pension & Other Benefits Hours: Part-Time Closing Date: Tuesday 30 November 2021 at 23:59 What’s the role all about?
This exciting job opportunity is for passionate individual that wants to make a real difference to the community and to the lives of young, vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness within North Tyneside.
We are seeking a Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager who can help us promote positive mental health coping strategies and the overall wellbeing of our clients, volunteers and staff through various practices that ultimately empower them to take control of their own mental health and wellbeing.
You will be responsible for developing creative and innovative initiatives that contribute to positive mental health outcomes and personal wellbeing in every aspect of our work. You will advise project workers and help build capacity in those staff and volunteers supporting young people in improving and maintaining positive wellbeing.
In this role, you will work on a part time, permanent basis.

What will ideally support your success in this role?
  • Experience and demonstrable understanding of challenges faced by young people facing homelessness, and in particular of issues facing young people with mental health challenges
  • Understanding and knowledge of government mental health policy, direction and strategic development
  • Knowledge of relevant networks in both statutory and community settings
  • Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding practices and processes Training and workshop development and facilitation skills and knowledge of deliverable training such as: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), ASSIST and knowledge of Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP)
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in relevant field (e.g. psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, social work) or hold relevant experience from other work.
