Job Description

KENNEL & DOG CARE TEAM with either additional admin or social media / digital media skills

You must have a good understanding and instinct about dogs and their behaviour and be passionate about their care and welfare. You must be comfortable working with all breeds, in all weathers and be able to work weekends.

The job includes

· Exercising dogs and providing daily enrichment.

· Cleaning, feeding, medicating.

· Maintaining clear and accurate records.

· Following training and behaviour modification programs. (Training for our team is ongoing)


Everyone in the team also take on additional duties in their areas of specialism, and we are currently looking for candidates with either strong social media and digital media skills or strong admin skills, capable of working or learning about systems and task management platforms.

Immediate opening for a permanent position with a 3 months probation.

We also require one of the following skills:

* Social media and digital media talent


* An organised and detailed mind able to take on some admin and day to day management tasks such as organising stock and pre-planning medications and reordering. This will require an ability to make use of our own in house system and a task management app (Clickup). Must be fluent in microsoft office applications too and ok with tech.

Love Underdogs is a small organisation rehoming around 80 to 100 dog a year, many of whom are considered less adoptable due to medical conditions, age or behaviour.

We pride ourselves in the quality of the care we give our dogs and the professionalism and support we show to our adoptive families for the lifetime of our dogs.

To apply for this role, applicants must provide a full CV with their application together with references if successful. The interviews are in two parts: A video interview followed by a 2 hours practical at the kennels for applicants with a successful interview.

We have openings for 3 rotas:

* Wednesday to Sunday (Mondays and Tuesdays off)

* Saturday to Wednesday (Thursdays & Fridays off)

* 2 weekly Rotas: one long week (6 days) and one short week (4 days) with one weekend on and one weekend off.

Working hours: 7am to 4pm with two breaks and an hour for lunch.
