Do you hold a full driving licence and are looking for a new challenge?

We need a Storekeeper/Driver to join our small team of 6 in our Stores department. You will work closely with colleagues across the Force providing uniform and equipment to Officers and Staff in Avon & Somerset Constabulary.

From fitting out a new recruit to helping shape the future of garments worn by Officers and Staff, our team play a pivotal role in ensuring uniform and equipment are available for our Officers and Staff when they require it, ensuring their safety and comfort.

In this role your Main Responsibilities will be:-

  • Ensuring the safe receipt, storage and issue of uniform and stock
  • Keeping accurate records and receipts of stock on the computerised system
  • Driving force vehicles to make deliveries and collections

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:-

  • A full driving licence
  • Experience of using a computerised stock control system
  • Experience of store keeping and stock control
  • Experience of dealing with people on the phone and face to face

Police Barred and Advisory lists

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
