Customer Service Advisor – Telephony

Permanent - Full time & part time - Working hours are an average of 37 hours per week for full time or 18/25 hours for part time.

We offer a starting salary £19,380 While you are learning the role, once you pass your learning period your salary will increase to £20,699.

Additionally, you can achieve a performance related annual bonus.

As you gain experience and work through our ongoing training and development program you may have the opportunity to become multi skilled and increase your salary up to £23,352.

Why are we recruiting?

We are now recruiting for exceptional customer’s service individuals (from all walks of life) to join our high performing teams and work towards our long-term business goals.

As we are an employer that champions personal development, we have found that, due to our contact centre staff members moving on to other roles in the business, we need to recruit more motivated and driven individuals to play a key part in supporting our customers.

What will you be doing?

In the Billing team you’ll be discussing various billing and account queries and offering water consumption advice. You’ll help our customers by proactively suggesting better tariffs and calmly guiding them through some really difficult times like bereavements, marital splits and moving home! We also offer added beneficial services to the customer, so they have a great journey with us. Whatever the query, you can count on our Customer Care Specialists to make it a positive experience. Our frontline staff use a variety of IT systems, so being computer minded would be advantageous.

Life in our contact centres is very rewarding, upbeat, and energetic and you’ll be surrounded by supportive mentors, team members and team leaders who love what they do!

What do you need?

You don’t need to have worked in a contact centre before; you just need to have a willingness to learn, excellent communication and a strong desire to do the right thing for our customers every time. Our current call centre staff come from a variety of backgrounds such as retail, hairdressing and beauty, hospitality and more!

We are looking for candidates who have a natural ability to be empathetic, confident and passionate as well as resilient. In addition, being adaptable and having experience of working to targets is essential.

In return, we’ll provide a thorough training package to support you in dealing with our customers confidently.

You won’t be alone! As well as joining as part of a group, you will also have extensive mentoring to ensure you have the support you need whilst you learn how to provide an outstanding service to our customers.

Where will I work?

Our offices are based in Hartlepool and we do have home working capability. We use our offices for both the training and mentoring periods as this will help the right candidate to get to know both the company and the people they are working with. After the mentoring period and where an individual's performance has met the standards required, then you can apply; if this is preferable, for home working. This will be discussed in more detail with your line manager as part of your ongoing performance review.

What hours will I work?

Our opening hours are Monday- Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 4 pm and Sunday 10am to 4 pm. We are currently offering shifts of 37 hrs per week. We have a variety of shifts available to accommodate a variety of lifestyles. For more information please join our open events or email on the contact below!
