Job Description

Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. Our portfolio of life-changing technologies spans the spectrum of healthcare, with leading businesses and products in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic medicines. Our 109,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.

Our UK Electrophysiology (EP) Division, dedicated to providing a full range of EP solutions designed to enable accurate diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, is looking for a recent graduate to join us in a clinical support role, initially for 12 months.

We are looking for passionate, Biomedical Science (or related Science) graduates for entry-level Field Technical Engineer (FTE) roles. This particular role requires candidates to be living in the North East of England.

The FTE is responsible for supporting existing & emerging technology lines by providing expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of the Abbott EP products and their appropriate application in a clinical setting.

Excellent, structured training will be provided to enable you to develop your technical knowledge of EP, our therapies and technologies as well as the dynamics of the country healthcare market, to become clinically certified to support EP cases.

Prior experience within the medical devices industry is not required. You will need to hold a BSc degree in a relevant subject, ideally Biomedical Sciences, with strong cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge. You should possess excellent communication and organisation skills. Applicants should expect to travel significantly, and therefore must hold a valid UK driving licence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to establish a career within medical devices and a great platform for future opportunities!

By submitting your application, you consent for your details to be shared with Randstad, our Third Party Labour supplier, who are working on behalf of Abbott on this position.
