The Business Consultant reports directly to one of the Professional Services Team Leads working closely with their clients and the Equiniti Credit Services design and development teams to identify and drive out business requirements.
Functional – business system configuration, capturing client requirements using user story notation, supporting client and internal projects, testing, client training and application support.
Technical – capturing integration requirements, producing UML diagrams and capturing non-functional requirements.
SME’s providing support for both Clients and Internal Project Support.
Providing Sales Support – providing subject matter expertise and performing system demonstrations.
This role will be based in Leeds.
Equiniti Credit Services develops market leading applications for the finance industry. The company employs highly experienced staff most of whom have extensive knowledge of both the finance industry and the technologies required to deliver effective, modern software solutions.
The company has two software products – one written in predominantly using the Microsoft technology stack (Ice.Net) and the other a mixture of Java, C, and Oracle PL/SQL (Pancredit).
Assisting the Sales team during prospect client presentations to demo our product and service offering.
Acting as the functional lead on new client implementations and change processes, including, but not limited to, capturing requirements and the configuration of client instances of the package.
Capturing of client requirements and compiling detailed requirement documents outlining the scope within USE cases.
Utilising VISIO flows and wire-framing prototype tools, such as Balsamiq, to illustrate USE cases.
Conducting gap analysis of systems and processes.
Attend End Of Sprint sessions to provide construction feedback on the output of the sprints.
Attend Prioritisation meeting to provide input into New Features and Production bugs.
Working alongside IT Designers to ensure functional change is reflected accurately in the detailed specifications/testing (BDD).
Working alongside the internal and/or client test teams during system, regression and acceptance testing, proving configured instances of the software and change items.
Implementing and delivering client training strategies and user acceptance testing strategies.
Client support which can include acting as the day-to-day “go to” contact in respect of systems activities.
Work alongside the Head of BPO and the BPO/Client Finance team if the client processing is being provided by Equiniti Credit Services.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
Detailed knowledge of waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies.
Deep understanding is essential of the UK unsecured lending sector and the role IT systems play within it in managing financial products, calculations, customer and agreement servicing, payments, default processing.
Good understanding is essential of the Consumer Credit Act and associated regulations, DPA and GDPR regulations and FCA guidelines.
A proven track record in implementing software systems.
Significant experience of large integration projects, knowledge of API (Application Programming Interfaces) protocols and applications for the transfer of data.
Have worked in a similar capacity within a multi customer, SaaS software environment.
