Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Marketing Team for an Assistant Brand Manager working on the Yorkshire Tea brand. Reporting into the Brand Manager, the successful candidate will assist and support the development, delivery, and execution of the brand strategy.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The implementation & delivery of the agenda for selected parts of the brand’s portfolio, in line with the brand strategy.
  • Co creating ATL briefs with the brand managers and communications team.
  • Support in development of creative campaigns including TV, press, tactical opportunities, brand partnerships, sponsorship, grass roots initiatives and ad hoc requests (such as sales and launch events).
  • Project involvement including both project managing New Product Development through our innovation process (such as packaging re-designs and on-pack promotions), and also providing marketing input within project teams.
  • Assist in the implementation & delivery of research projects, collating research stimulus, attending research groups when required, and analysing results.
  • Assist in retrieval and interpretation of data and share key insights to feed into Brand Plans (using IRI, Kantar, foresight factory etc).
  • Work collaboratively with in-house design team, Brand Communications, Shopper Marketing and Trade Marketing to align plans and briefs.

We are seeking a creative individual who is properly excited about all things tea. To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Previous experience within marketing, ideally in an FMCG, agency and/or brand environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support stakeholder management.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and work with data.
  • Commercial awareness including a basic understanding of a P&L.
  • A Marketing or Business-related degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
