Job Description

Part Time lecturer in Singing and Vocals. Casual hours.

An opportunity has arisen for a specialist Singing and Vocal Lecturer to join the Performing Arts team at Leicester College.

Responsibilities include delivering singing and vocal classes on the Level 3 Musical Theatre programme. You will lead on the delivery of singing classes which will require you to; embed vocal technique, teach a broad repertoire of musical theatre and popular music in group and solo assessment.

You will also assist the Director on College productions as Musical Director and stage musical numbers. The ability to play piano will be an advantage.

You will hold a minimum Level 4 in the vocational area as well as a minimum Level 2 qualification in maths and English (or equivalent). It is desirable that applicants hold a recognised teaching qualification.

With proven administrative skills the successful applicant will be required to sustain and develop high quality teaching and learning in the area.
