Description and requirements

We are looking for a Junior Contract Planner to join our building services team in Central London.

Working as a Contract Planner you will Facilitate planning of all Main Building works to ensure successful delivery.


  • Establish, control, monitor, analyse administer and report on schedule related aspects for Projects and PPMs across the contract including creation of a robust work breakdown structure where required.
  • Establish and maintain / monitor a cost and resource loaded, logic linked, baseline plan for the project portfolio. Challenge schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan. Ensure the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the project’s baseline plan plus the implications of such change are understood and communicated with the wider project team.
  • Work with the Project Management & Operations Teams, interfacing with other departments as necessary to establish the project activities, cost and durations and ensure that these reflect project scope, constraints, and commitments and highlight any impacts. Challenge as necessary to ensure compatibility and compliance, identifying work conflicts / clashes / resourcing issues highlighting and reprogramming. Integrate 3rd party schedules and data into the overall project plan where required.
  • Produce and present reports, plans, schedules, and programme views including earned value tailored to specific audiences, client team, project, commercial, and operational management.

We are looking for:

  • Proficient in the use MS Office packages
  • Proven experience in customer facing role
  • Client / Stakeholder / Supplier relationship management
  • Experience in using CAFM system would be desirable.
  • Trained and experienced using scheduling software such as MS Project, ASTA or P6.
  • Breadth of experience across whole project lifecycle desirable (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes) preferably in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience in building cost and resource loaded plans
  • Proficient in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools
  • Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment

We will consider a Graduate as long as you offer proven experience of Microsoft Project
